TWLUTL - 12 Weeks Left

With the submission and approval of a very early on prototype of an action-esque game and level demonstrating gameplay, it was time for the team to understand what kind of game we wanted this to be and how are we going to polish / refine it.
The main issue we faced at first was find a new team member, since one of our team members and main 3d modellers / designers had just finished her graduation. After some talk with different students, we eventually found a new team member Connor, who eagerly showed proactiveness and brought ideas to the table, assisting in many different tasks.
We also organised a few administrative activities to help the team progress with the game on a daily to weekly basis, such as weekly Friday online meetings to discuss tasks, feedback and overall progress. With the guidance of our Lecturer, we also set up a kanban board to keep track of what we discussed on the meetings, so we all know what each one of us had to do, that kept everybody on check.
With the administerial part set, we divided the roles according to each one specific skillsets, but everybody always chips in within different segmentations of the project. One of the members is the solo programmer for the project, but he still assisted with documentation and guiding the visual style of the game for example.
During the second to the third week, we created a roadmap with different stages of the project that had to be reached within a certain date, and right after we divided the tasks amongst ourselves.
The game now needed to be more content filled than ever while keeping an acceptable level of polish for playtesting, to make this accomplishable we worked with small iterations of the project and a lot of managing Github pulls and pushes to not affect team member’s lost work and corrupted / missing game files as much.
The team discussed that it was time for more game levels, and the suggestion we heard from Connor was to make modular pieces which would assist in making levels with different designs.
The team agreed and so at first, the first level was redone, the second level was created, and a third level was on the works.
For the first three weeks, documentation and administrative structure was set, game tasks were assigned to add more content to the game and new mechanics were starting to be implemented to make the game more appealing.
